Service request — Frequently asked questions

These answers describe how HMC is intended to work. They are informational, not legal advice.

What is HMC?

HMC is an introduction tool: you describe what you need, and we help surface independent providers who may be interested. It is meant to save you time compared with searching on your own, but we do not employ the providers and we do not guarantee who will respond or the quality of their work.

Does HMC guarantee the work or the price?

No. Providers set their own bids and terms. Final price, scope, and payment should be confirmed directly with the provider. We do not guarantee estimates, bids, or completed work.

Should I ask about licence, insurance, and payment?

Yes. You should ask providers anything that matters for your project—licences, insurance, references, how they bill, deposits, cancellation, and timelines. HMC does not verify professional credentials for every trade in every jurisdiction; your questions protect you.

What does phone or email verification mean?

If we show that a phone number or email was verified, it usually means you completed a verification step for that contact method. It does not mean we have confirmed your identity in person or run a background check.

Who is responsible if something goes wrong?

Service and payment relationships are between you and the provider. HMC’s role is to help you connect based on the information everyone provides. For limitations, see our terms for service requests.

Why do you need to share my request details?

Providers need enough information to decide whether to bid and how to reach you. By using the form, you agree we may share the data you submit for matching and communication as described in the terms.
