Providers — Frequently asked questions
Informational only—not legal advice. See the full provider terms for binding language.
Does HMC employ me or guarantee jobs?
No. We introduce requests to providers who use the platform. Whether you get work depends on customers and your bids; we do not guarantee volume, revenue, or fit.
Can I trust the customer information?
You should treat request details as a starting point. We do not know the customer beyond what they entered. Verified phone or email means they passed a verification step for that channel—not a full identity or background check. Ask your own qualifying questions before committing time or materials.
What if the customer cancels or ghosts?
Customers control whether to proceed. We cannot force them to hire you or respond. Your recourse for payment or scheduling is generally through your agreement with them and applicable law—not through HMC as a guarantor.
Am I responsible for licences and insurance?
Yes, where the law requires them for the work you perform. HMC does not certify tradespeople for every task type. You are responsible for operating legally and safely in your jurisdiction.
How does HMC make money?
Any future fees or business model will be described in product messaging or separate agreements. These FAQs do not create payment obligations by themselves.
